I love all things biology and ecology. I get out and explore every type of living creature and ecosystem I can. I find great joy in learning how living things work, from the cellular level up to the landscape scale. Teaching biology gives me opportunity to share my joy and experience in field and lab biology with students. My favorite things in the classroom are 1) guiding students to become and love being biophiliacs and 2) helping students master the art of scientific speculation.
